The Milani Conceal & Perfect Foundation

The Milani Conceal Perfect Foundation

Having been a huge fan of Tati Westbrook for quite some time now, I was incredibly excited to find the Milani Conceal & Perfect Foundation on a trip to Beauty Base two weeks ago. I've seen it crop up in so many of her videos, so of course when I saw it, I picked up without a second thought! After swatching several shades, I settled for 03 Light Beige which seemed to be the right shade for me. Something that I did notice from all the swatching was that the shades were very much on the deeper side - there isn't a shade for porcelain skins available. Even the lightest shade was quite yellow toned, and that's a real shame because the foundation is definitely a good 'un. Especially for only being £9.99.

It's extremely high coverage for a drugstore foundation, very easy to blend and not sticky or too fluid. The formula is lightweight and oil-free, so it's perfect for acne prone skin like mine. However, I would advise drier skins steer clear of this one though - my dry patches became very noticeable halfway through the day and the foundation wasn't as hydrating as my trusty NARS Sheer Glow. The foundation wears extremely well throughout the day with minimal touch-ups - but if you've got oilier skin, you're going to want to carry a powder to get rid of any shine as I have a feeling it would need that.

Saying that, I get a full coverage finish with the smallest pump, to the point where concealer becomes unnecessary (always a bonus). Which brings me onto my next point - there is a pump with the foundation meaning no mess, no wastage and it's all very hygienic. I do like this foundation a lot, but definitely google swatches and go to a store to pick it up as the shades options are a bit limited, especially if you're fair!

I'm excited to try more from Milani - any recommendations?
