July Loves.

I wanted to take a moment and explain why there have been so few uploads this month - you might know that I got married in the first week of July and moved to Canada so there have been quite a few changes in my life! I've mentioned this a few times on my Instagram but I thought I'd share it all on here too. July has been a crazy whirlwind and most of it has been celebrations and unpacking so things got too busy to balance. I didn't want to upload sub-par content so I thought it would be best to take a break until I had everything somewhat set up. There's still lots to sort out throughout August because I'm moving (yet again) across Canada later this year, but I'll have a few weeks to plan and prepare lots of fresh content to upload.

Anyway... onto my July favourites - and there are quite a few of them! Most of the things I'm mentioning in this post are from the makeup category because I've been wearing more makeup than usual this month - there are quite a few newbies so I can't wait to share! Starting off with skincare, I received a delixe sample of the Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturiser with my Sephora order two weeks ago and I'm absolutely hooked. I feel like I need the full size - it smells divine, it's very lightweight (great for the heat) but also very nourishing and hydrating. I'm keen to try more from the brand - any recommendations?

If you saw my Instagram stories last month, you might have seen that I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of boxes of goodies from Pixi. I've been using the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer* as my base for the majority of this month and it's such a great one if you like blurring and brightening primers! If you've read my blog for a while, you might know that my holy grail primer is the Becca Backlight Priming Filter, but this one is such a great alternative. It's a little more affordable but it gives really great smoothing and perfecting results.

I'm all about the glow and I've been lusting after the Cover FX Enhancer Drops ever since they were released but I could never justify the price tag. Luckily, I spotted the Topshop Glow Drops in Phoenix that were launched last month and I picked up a bottle for around ₤12 which works so beautifully! It's honestly one of my favourite makeup products that I own and it's incredibly easy to use for a gorgeous dewy glow.

I also picked up the Topshop Liquid Magic Liner in Engraved and it's been giving me the perfect on-fleek eyeliner that I needed all month without the hassle. Felt tip liners are some of my favourites for a quick wing and this one checks all the boxes - it's affordable, it's pigmented and it's budge-proof so it will last all day.

I've been a huge fan of the Hourglass powders for as long as I started blogging, and one of my old favourites is the Hourglass Ambient Blush Powder in Diffused Heat. It gives the perfect amount of pigment and blends seamlessly into the skin so I definitely want to get my hands on more shades next time I'm in Sephora!

Speaking of seamless, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder has been one of my makeup saviours throughout the heat! It works so well as a lightweight powder that doesn't cake or feel heavy on the skin, but it still helps blur and perfect anything that needs that little bit of airbrush. I'm totally smitten... definitely a top shelf powder. And because it's from Tilbs, it looks stunning too.

For lips, I'm skipping back to Topshop because along with the glow drops and the liquid liner, I also chose the Topshop Lipliner in Beestung. This shade had such good reviews online and I wanted a 'your-lips-but-better' kind-of shade for the wedding. This one was perfect - it's extremely creamy and soft but it gives such good colour and wears evenly overtime, even throughout eating and drinking. It's incredibly inexpensive too, so I need more shades pronto.

To go with the liner, I've loved the Pixi Berry Tint & Sweet Silk Gloss*. I received all three shades in a box of goodies from Pixi but this one is by far my favourite. It's such a lovely natural nude but it looks effortlessly chic paired with a winged eye. Just like the glow drops, this one has to be another all-time favourite makeup discovery. I can't be without it now!

I thought I'd mention a quick TV favourite, and it's an oldie but a goodie. I've had Friends on in the background whilst I unpack with all the moving about and it's been so great dipping back into the show after so long! I'm sure I'll be watching lots more of it throughout August too - it's certainly a great show for some feel-good comedy TV.

The 3INA UV Collection.

With the BBQs, festivals and holidays lined up over the next few months, lots of brands are launching fun and exciting new collections to sport through the summer! One brand that has done this (and is entirely new to me) is 3INA - they launched their UV collection last week and they've very kindly sent me a trio of products to try from the range.  The products have been designed to explore the duality of day and night, light and dark with UV activated pigments that appear completely unassuming during the day. I'm in love with the simple, minimalist packaging, with sleek matte black and bright white lines. It feels very modern but edgy at the same time, and fits the vibe of the collection very well.

The 3INA Fluoro Top Coat* is possibly my favourite from the range because it works beautifully as a glassy topcoat on top of any colour you already enjoy wearing. Under UV light, it transforms into the most beautiful electric blue which works perfectly throughout festival season from day-to-night.

Another gorgeous product is the 3INA Fluoro Eye Pencil* which appears a smoky budge-proof black throughout the daytime but under UV light, it glows a stunning cobalt blue. It's soft and creamy but when it's on, it won't smudge or spread throughout wearing.

If you're feeling a little more daring, the 3INA Fluoro Cream Eyeshadow* offers three vivid colours to wear as bold shadows throughout the day and glowing neon at night. I was sent the pink shade which doubles up as a beautiful bright summer blush if you're looking for a more natural way to wear it. It's very blendable and works well with most bases, particularly over liquid products.

Overall, I think this is definitely one of the most daring collections I have tried. Thank you to 3INA for letting me play with such a beautiful collection to review for you all!

Have you tried anything from the 3INA UV Collection?

My Wedding Skincare Prep.

I'm married! I almost can't believe how quickly the time how flown this year, it feels like I was at university last week. The day was beautiful, very private and special, with memories to treasure forever. Prepping for the day meant finding a good handful of gems to use religiously over the past couple of weeks, so I thought I'd put them altogether into a post and share how I've been keeping my skin smooth and glowing for the big day.

First up, the James Read H2O Gradual Tan Mist is a new find for me, but it's quickly become an absolute must have for a subtle over-makeup glow. I use this as a summer setting spray for the dewy boost of moisture that hydrates and keeps any powdery finishes looking natural and glowy.

I was kindly sent a sample of the Glam Glow Supermud Mask* which I had been deliberating over trying for months beforehand. I never actually made the splurge but after trying this mask out, I might have to! I love how quickly it draws out any impurities without breaking me out in more spots, it also smells very spa-like which makes the whole experience that much better!

I've never really tried a facial polish until the Pixi Skintreats Peel & Polish Resurfacing Concentrate. I've been trying a lot from Pixi skincare recently and this is definitely one of my favourite finds. It's gentle on the skin but it removes any dead skin cells without leaving skin dry and damaged. The product itself comes out like toothpaste, but it's gritty in texture which helps lift up any old cells and renew the texture of your face. Such a gorgeous product - I highly recommend this one!

Moving onto more makeup-type loves, the Dior Lip Glow in Coral is a long term favourite of mine for moisturizing dry lips whilst adding a healthy coral glow. It lifts the entire face with a natural tint of colour, and plumps the lips slightly for a perfect pout. I've featured this gem a lot in posts over the past year or so - I really do use it that much!

My wedding fragrance is definitely my trusty Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede which I have been using all of summer. The scent itself seems to capture all of my precious memories of wedding preparation and my last few months in London so it only seemed fitting that I wear it on the day. It's a very fresh fragrance which is gorgeously crisp as well. It makes the perfect summer wedding fragrance.

Last, but probably most importantly, I've been drinking a LOT of water. This is probably the best secret to healthy, radiant skin and it's such an easy miracle worker to use. I keep a tall glass of ice cold water on my desk and sip it throughout the day to keep myself hydrated and healthy... and the best part is, it doesn't cost anything at all!

Those were my wedding prep favourites, and I know I'll be using them for months to come in order to maintain the summer glow that I've been working so hard to achieve! I also wanted to write a quick note to apologise for the lack of uploads recently - as you can imagine, it's been a very hectic week.

I hope you're all having a wonderful start to July!

July Goals.

I've had to schedule this post (and many other posts to come) well in advance, because by the time this is uploaded I will be on a complete emotional roller-coaster!
However, I've had a long hard think this weekend about my goals for July and here they are:

1. Take lots of photographs.
I want to capture as much as I can this month, more for my personal albums. I usually take photos to share on social platforms, but I never really take anything to print and put together in an album. That's something I definitely want to do this month - create a book of beautiful memories to look back on.

2. Create more lifestyle-based content.
I feel like my blog has been very beauty orientated lately, and although I love that, I don't want to neglect the other ideas I've been collecting in my blog journal! I have several projects that I want to get a head start on, including more homeware and food content ideas that have been sitting in my draft folders for a while.

3. Up my Instagram game.
I mentioned that I want to take more photographs earlier on - I also really want to post a lot of content on my Instagram and build a grid that I really love. My Instagram has been quite stagnant over the past few months and I'm finding it really hard to engage. I feel like posting more might help that, but because I'm a perfectionist, I don't want to just post any old photographs. Hopefully the summer weather and busy days will give me inspiration for things to photograph and share!

4. Go homeware shopping.
This goal has me literally jumping in my seat! I'm really excited to work with a new space and transform it into something that feels like home. I have lots pinned on my Pinterest boards for inspiration, and I'll definitely have some home related posts coming up throughout the year as projects come together. P.S. - you can follow me on Pinterest here!

5. Get married!
It's crazy even as I type it now, only days away from the big event. We've definitely gone big and beautiful for the wedding, and I know there will be a lot of attention that comes with it. I'm nervous - I've never been one to love being the centre of attention - but I know that it will be such a wonderful day. Things might get a little quiet on social media this week, but I have everything scheduled so that my blog isn't neglected and I will tweet from time to time. Next time a post is uploaded here, I'll be a Mrs!

What are your goals for July?
I'd love to know!
