Let's Talk Glossier.

As you probably all know, Glossier recently launched in the UK and it was a very exciting day for bloggers and beauty lovers alike! I've been living in Canada for a few months now, so I was lucky enough to try Glossier out a little early, but I wanted to place another order after the brand launched in the UK so I could try out some newbies and share some of my thoughts.

Although you can purchase all items separately, the Glossier website does group some of their products together and create bundle offers that help you save money if you're wanting to try practically everything (of course, that's really helpful for skincare addicts like me). The first bundle I chose was The Mask Duo which includes two full size face masks which you can use alone or together as part of your skincare routine. The first mask is the Mega Greens Galaxy Pack, described as a juice cleanse for your face. It's a clay based mask which helps draw out any impurities while also nourishing your skin with a lot of leafy green nutrients and antioxidants. I've found that this is perfect to use in the evening when my skin is feeling a little clogged up and needs a refresh.

The duo also comes with a full size tub of the Moisturizing Moon Mask, which helps to hydrate and brighten the skin. It's a creamier formula which is very cooling when applied to the face, especially after the galaxy pack. I find it helps soothe the redness on my cheeks and boosts my overall complexion. If applied lightly, you can leave this overnight to quench thirsty skin and then wash off in the morning. My skin definitely feels plumper and very well nourished after using this mask combination together! The tubs are also very decently sized (90ml), which means you get plenty of applications per mask.

The second bundle I chose was The Super Pack. I've been eyeing up the Glossier serums forever because the packaging was just so adorable, but I couldn't justify the price tag because each bottle is only 15ml. However, after seeing them everywhere on Instagram, I caved and bought all three - although I did save a little so with the bundle deal so I guess that's good. My favourite serum from the lot is probably Super Bounce because it's incredibly hydrating and feels thicker than the others. It has more of a jelly like texture which feels like it's adding plumpness and softness to the skin, just like the name suggests.

The pack also includes Super Glow, which is a lot more runny in texture. It is meant to brighten the appearance of my complexion and give an overall vitamin enriched boost. I haven't used this enough to notice a huge difference, but I definitely want to keep at it and give this one a real shot. Super Pure is the last of the three that come in this set, and it's a lovely one as well. It definitely eases all the redness on my face after a good cleanse, and calms any blemishes that might have appeared. I think this is definitely worth a try if you're prone to acne. Once I've applied one or two of the serums, I like to follow up with the Glossier Priming Moisturizer and watch it sink right in - it's amazing how the products work so well together!

Glossier is definitely a brand with a lot of hype around it, and although I can't speak for everyone in saying whether it's worth it or not, I can say that I'm in love with everything I've tried so far and I can't wait to try more.

Two Lush Hair Essentials.

I've been dipping more and more into haircare lately, as I'm on a quest for the perfect swishy hair routine. This means trying lots of new hair styling products and finishing sprays to give my locks that softer, shinier, glossier appearance. Bardou is a luxury haircare and cosmetics brand that I only recently discovered - and I have to say, I was so impressed by the products sent to me that I had to share them.

I was sent two products: the finishing mist hairspray* and the immaculate spray dry shampoo*. Both of the products feel extremely light and leave your hair feeling extra swishy. The dry shampoo is the perfect second day hair pick-me-up and the hairspray helps maintain that glossy shine with a medium hold finish. I like to use them one after the other for a more polished look after a good blow dry. Each product is enriched with keratin within their formulas, so both are extremely nourishing - especially for dry hair like mine.

They smell incredible! There's a really luxurious feeling to the scent and the packaging, even though the products themselves are very budget friendly. Each spray comes in a sleek black can with 200mls of product, topped with a gorgeous gold lid - it's definitely a product that would look extremely elegant on your dresser.

I really want to try more from the brand - I think that the texture mist is definitely next on my wishlist!

Four Happy Things.

I've seen posts like this around the blogosphere and I thought it was such a cute idea! I've been having so many wonderful experiences lately, so I thought it was the perfect time to sit down and reflect. Here are some of my highlights from the past month or so...

1. Driving across Canada.
I just experienced the most exciting road trip that I ever could have hoped for and it was perfect! Definitely a highlight of the year, and possibly my whole life - there was so much to see and enjoy, and I had the best company. We didn't get a chance to plan a honeymoon after the wedding but this filled its place without a doubt. If you ever find yourself in Canada, it's well worth driving through a few provinces to get a real feel of how vast and beautiful the country is.

2. Enjoying the gorgeous Autumnal weather.
Autumn is by far my favourite season. The changing colours, the crisp air... there's something so romantic and beautiful about taking a walk on a late Autumnal afternoon. I'm loving the switch to warmer coffees and cosy knits, and the colour mustard. I'm really looking forward to injecting warmer pieces into my wardrobe for the upcoming season. I've already purchased this wonderful jumper from Topshop to get me ready for sweater weather.

3. Decorating the new house.
Of course, there's still lots of decorating going on - we have a painter in the house as I type! I've been desperate to switch up the kitchen and bathroom cabinets as I feel they really transform a room and I'm keen to see the finished results. I've purchased lots of new homeware to help make the space more homely so let me know if you'd like to see a post on some of my favourite pieces.

4. Reaching 1K on Bloglovin'!
This is a goal I've been wanting to reach for the longest time and it finally happened! Thank you so much to everyone who follows my blog and reads my posts. It honestly means so much to me when I know that you're enjoying my content and leaving such lovely comments. I'm planning a giveaway to host later this month and I want it to be super special... watch this space!

What have you been enjoying this month?

Trying Out Fenty Beauty.

I don't think I've ever been as excited for a beauty release as I was when I heard that Rihanna was launching a range of products - and when I saw the packaging, I knew I had to try it. Everything about the line feels incredibly unique, from the combination of pastel pink and holographic typography, to the magnetized octagonal casing, it all feels very new to the makeup market. It's been a couple of weeks since the line launched, and I managed to pop into Sephora and purchase a few pieces that caught my eye the most.

When I saw that every product was colour matched according to skin tone and warmth, I knew that a lot of thought had been put into the line. I was particularly intrigued by the Match Stix Custom Trio which combined three shades of conceal, contour and highlight sticks to create your perfect combination. I chose Medium for a more dramatic contour, with the concealer stick in Bamboo, the contour stick in Mocha and the highlight stick in Trippin'. The concealer gives surprisingly high coverage for a stick formula, without looking cakey or dry on the skin. It's a very neutral shade that would work with a lot of light/medium skin tones.

The contour is probably my favourite - I love the difference it makes! When applied to the right areas of the face, it really sculpts and defines, and it doesn't look orange or muddy at all. You can build up the intensity and go for a heavier contour if you want as well. The highlight shade in this kit is definitely one of the most unusual highlights that I own. It's described as a gold-glazed apricot shade, and it's exactly that. I was afraid it might look too harsh on my skin but it gives that most illuminated peachy glow.

The last product that I picked up was the Universal Lip Bomb in Fenty Glow. This is a colour that would suit anyone and so it's a fail-proof product to pick up if you don't want the hassle of finding the right gloss shade for your skin tone. It's a gorgeous neutral gloss with a gorgeous amount of shine that totally lifts your complexion and gives you such a healthy look. I've been pairing this over other lip products and wearing it on it's own... it's honestly a great all round lippie. I love it!

From left to right: Mocha, Bamboo, Trippin' and Fenty Glow.

I definitely think I'll be trying more out from Fenty Beauty as I'm incredibly impressed. I have my eye on the foundation and I've already been matched so I think I might be getting that next.

Have you tried anything from this line?

October Goals.

These are a bit late to go up because I've spent most of this week unpacking, but here are my goals for this month!

1. Unpack and set up the new place.
This has already taken up a lot of the first week of this month as there is lots to sort out in the new space. I've been reassembling furniture, moving them around to try and make things feel as homely as possible. I can't wait to share everything once it's all set up!

2. Buy some new pieces as well.
We've already purchased a lovely new sofa, shelving and a cute little kitchen table set, but there's still a couple of other pieces that I've got an eye out for. I'm desperately in search of the perfect new marble coffee table and a beautiful new dining set. A lovely velvet armchair would also be the perfect addition to the living space.

3. Get the kitchen & bathroom cabinets repainted.
One of the largest projects that we have (besides repainting the walls downstairs), is definitely freshening up the paint in the kitchen and family bathroom. We went to choose colours yesterday, and we're hiring a painter to complete the work over the next couple of weeks. I want to be able to include more recipe posts on my blog too, so I've gone for an airy, dove grey in the kitchen. There are lots of cabinets so it's definitely a larger project, but I know it's one that will completely transform the space.

4. Switch back to healthy eating and working out.
The past month has been pretty rough on my body as we've been travelling and on the road, so making healthy choices has been extremely difficult...and I failed most of the time. I want to take this month to get back on track with my eating and lose the few pounds that I managed to gain in September. I know it shouldn't take too much, just a little bit of 'normal life' and a bit of exercise here and there should do it.

5. Take some time out to relax.
I know I'm going to be exhausted after all of this month and taking some time out to relax is well overdue. I'm thinking a trip to Lush to buy some of their autumn launches and a long bubble bath with lots of candles... just thinking about it has me all ready for the month!

What are your goals for October?
I'd love to know!
