So, it’s that time of the month again where I round up some of my most loved items from July and share them with you all. I have tried a good handful of things this month but this lot are the stars of them all:
I tried a sample of the Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser with a Sephora order about a year ago and it was love at first application, so of course I went and purchased the full size. It’s on the pricey side, but it’s totally gorgeous if your skin is as dry as mine. They have and even more intense version but the original works well enough for me. It’s a light gel texture, tinted a very pretty baby pink, and it smells gorgeous. A total skincare treat.
You’ve probably seen the Chanel Hydra Beauty Lip Balm in a few of my blog posts this month but I’ve been using it non stop. It gives the perfect hydrated base for lipstick application without making my lips feel greasy or sticky. It is a heavier balm, but it actually works and my lips seem to drink up the moisture. It’s colourless so my lips feel lovely and plump with a subtle shine after application.
Another beauty buy that has been cropping up a lot in my posts recently has been the Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer. I wrote about it in a lot more detail in my Makeup Musings post and my Four Favourites for Sunkissed Skin if you’re interested in a more in-depth review. It’s been on my face all month long for some added glow.
The Tarte Tipsy Blusher is probably my most treasured blush right now. It’s a beautiful shade of coral pink which is perfect for the summer. Tarte blushes have been a long term favourite but this shade is possibly the best of the bunch. It’s also the most long wearing blush that I’ve ever come across, and stays in place without becoming blotchy all day long.
To apply my new blush, the MAC 129 Blusher Brush has quickly become my favourite beauty tool. It places the perfect amount of product onto the apples of the cheeks and is incredibly soft and easy to use. The handle is extra long too which means you have more control and can sweep product as lightly or as heavily as you want.
Another for lips is the MAC Whirl Lipliner. I haven’t really tried lipliners before but after this one I’m a total convert – I can’t seem to apply lipstick without it! I love pairing this with MAC Velvet Teddy or NYX Tiramisu Butter Gloss which featured in my June Favourites last month. It’s the prettiest summery nude lip.
