I’ve been saving myself for a huge beauty spree whilst in Canada later this month but there are a handful of purchases which I have bought recently before travelling (mostly because I wanted them for the trip). I do these sorts of posts quite often where I round up all the products and give mini reviews/first impressions on them and you all seem to like it so I thought I’d do one for this lot too seeing as I’m loving quite a few of them!
Starting off with drugstore/highstreet makeup, I finally got round to purchasing the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara after having it on my wishlist for nearly a year! This was all the rage at the end of 2015 so I think it’s about time I tried it. I’ve only used it twice but so far, I love it. It adds length, darkness, volume and holds a beautiful curl. I bought the non-waterproof version as I always find waterproof to be a pain to remove – this one comes off nice an easy with a splash of oil based makeup remover. The packaging is pretty too, a metallic pink which is always cute.
Keeping along the affordable theme, I picked up the L’oreal Colour Riche Nailvarnish in Rubis Folies. I thought it was about time I wore something other than beige on my nails and this colour looked perfect for the autumn months! It’s a stunning, vibrant berry red shade which has incredible pigment. The bottle is gorgeous too – really luxe for a highstreet nailvarnish, so I’m very happy with that.
Moving on to a couple of luxury purchases… the Dior Lip Glow in Coral has been a little gem in my makeup bag lately. I bought it with the flight in mind because I wanted a tinted lip balm, but this is so much more than that. It’s nourishing on the lips, it adds a healthy glow and plumps up your pout in no time! It also smells gorgeous, so that’s always a bonus.
Last but not least, also for lips, is the Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip. I’m not going to say too much here because I have a full review planned for this one but it is definitely getting a lot of hype in the beauty world. It’s my first Jouer purchase, so I thought it would be a good place to start. It’s definitely a unique product – but keep checking back for a full review later this month!
