1. Eat more fruit & vegetables.
I definitely do not get my five a day and I really want to try and change this. I’m not a huge fan of fruit, but I want to try and incorporate them more in my diet somehow. I do like a lot of vegetables, but I want to find new ways to prepare them so that they stay as fresh as possible – be it salsas, salads or even raw.
2. Write more food related posts and put them up on my blog.
I posted a cookie recipe up last month and that went down extremely well – it got me thinking that maybe I should share some more (healthy) food-y posts up for y’all to enjoy! It also works really well for me because it forces me to be more creative in the kitchen. I have a couple planned for this month, but let me know if you have any ideas in particular for these sorts of posts.
3. Purchase some new A/W wardrobe pieces.
And by this I mean some gorgeous cosy knits, velvety fabrics and a pair of classic boots. There’s lots of new autumn winter trends to try including ruffles and more luxe materials, so I’m excited to see what I find. I know ASOS always have a great selection of wearable trend pieces, as does Topshop and Zara so those will definitely be my first stops.
4. Be more mindful.
Practicing mindfulness is something that has become more and more talked about over the past couple of years and it’s so important. I definitely want to take October as a month to practice being mindful and make it a habit for the future. There are lots of resources to help with this, but do let me know of any tips you have for being more mindful in the comments.
5. Reduce my screen time.
Being a final year university student and a blogger means that I end up staring at screens for a lot of my day, be it on my phone, tablet or laptop. I’ve had a lot of headaches recently and I think it might be due to this so I really want to try and cut back this month. Let me know if you’d like to see a post on how I do this!
What are your goals for October?
