I recently posted a little Instagram story up featuring these gorgeous new products that I ordered from Beauty Bay last week. My skin has been troublesome lately and so I felt the need to switch up my skincare routine because my current one just wasn’t working for me. I’m still on the hunt for a nice new moisturiser, something thick but not sticky, hydrating but not greasy. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated in the comments!
The first thing I picked up was (possibly) the most coveted skincare product of 2016 – the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I’ve been using this for about a week now and I can totally see why people love it so much. It’s refreshing, gentle and feels extremely cleansing without stripping the skin of natural oils. It’s a really gorgeous pumpkin colour too – I guess that’s something to do with the pumpkin enzymes in the ingredients. It also contains chamomile and rose so I like to use it in the evening for a light cleanse before bed.
I’ve had my eye on the Pixi Glow Mist for several months now, and I thought I’d finally give it a try because I’m all about hydrating and nourishing my skin – especially in the winter months when the cold dries it out like nothing else. I find that it gives just the right amount of dewiness to the skin, and it’s enriched with natural oils which really help create a beautiful glow. I can already tell that I’ll be using it a lot over the next couple of months!
Speaking of something I’ll use a lot, I have been obsessing over the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. It’s not the most glamourous of skincare products but boy, does it work! This is definitely a really unique product for acne prone skin – you apply it at night with a cotton swab and sleep with it on. By morning, any spots you might have had the night before are a lot smaller and more manageable (a lot easier to conceal). It’s definitely not a permanent solution, but it makes any pesky breakouts a lot easier to control. To use alongside this, I also purchased the Mario Badescu Drying Mask which I use all over my face in order to dry out any fresh breakouts. I do find this extremely drying though, so I would be careful using it. I haven’t used it long enough to notice a difference yet, but I will keep you updated on this one.
Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned?
