I mentioned the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Face Mask in my hydration heroes post earlier on this month. I’ve been using it twice a week and loving the results – I just wish I had tried it sooner! It’s very soothing on sensitive skin and nourishing for dry skin types like mine, I can see it being a skincare staple of mine throughout my course of Accutane.
The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard is something I always keep coming back to. It’s definitely my all time favourite concealer and I just purchased a fresh tube which I’ve been using all month. The name of the product is exactly what is inside – a really creamy, yet still high coverage concealer. It doesn’t cake or crease on me (another reason why I love it), and it wears all day long without fading.
I’ve also mentioned the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette on both my Instagram account and my blog over the past few weeks – isn’t it beautiful? It’s definitely taken the top spot on the eyeshadows that I’ve been reaching for lately. They shadows in this palette are a mix of matte and shimmer and work as the perfect shades for any neutral eye look. I’ve spoken a lot more about how beautiful this product is in the review I posted a couple of weeks ago so I’ll link that here.
To apply these shadows, I’ve been using my new Zoeva Rose Golden Eye Brush Set – I wrote a whole review on how beautiful these are which I’ll link here. To sum up, they’re soft, easy to use and make the whole experience of applying eyeshadow a dream. They also look stunning on your vanity which is always a bonus! I’ve particularly been reaching for the petite crease brush, the luxe soft definer brush and the brow line brush for a soft smoky neutral eye.
I couldn’t not include the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk in my favourites this month – I’ve been wearing it nearly every single day! It’s such a wearable nude lipstick shade that’s got intense pigment and a soft matte finish. I think it’s just one of those shades that would suit every skin tone, it works well with so many outfits and the kind of colour that belongs in every makeup collection.
With this gorgeous lipstick, I’ve been pairing my trusty Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Addiction. This has been quite a popular drugstore shade for a while because it’s a great pink nude that works with lots of other nude lipstick shades. It’s quite waxy in texture which means it really helps extend the life of your lipstick as well as keeping it all in place. The only thing about it that I’m not a fan of is the crayon-type scent, but for the price, I can overlook that as it’s not something which lingers.
In terms of fashion favourites, I’ve been wearing my ASOS Crushed Pink Velvet Mini Robe a lot this month. It’s not too heavy like a fleecy dressing gown would be, but not too light either. It’s super soft, and feels so luxurious on – and its a beautiful rich pink shade which caught my eye when I first bought it. I think this exact one is out of stock at the moment but ASOS have a few crushed velvet gowns to choose from and they all look lovely!
One jewellery favourite this month is this H&M Golden Horn Necklace which I picked up after seeing Kate La Vie‘s Instagram post featuring it. It’s such a beautiful dupe for some pricier versions out there and it’s lovely quality for the amount I paid for it. I’d say it’s in between a necklace and a pendant in length – and it definitely looks a lot more than it costs! I love it.
