This month seems to have flown by faster than all the other months this year! I’m not sure if that’s because I’ve been working on trying to finish up my dissertation, or because it feels like I haven’t taken a break in weeks – but I know I’m looking forward to next month when everything is handed in and I can relax a little more.
I’ve been loving lots of new skincare this month, but I’m going to give two products a mention in my favourites as I need to try the rest for a little longer before they make the cut! Firstly, the Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream has been so incredibly hydrating and soothing as an overnight intensive moisturizer. For my body, I’ve been applying the Antipodes Jubilation Hand & Body Cream to soothe the dryness. It smells divine and has my skin feeling soft and supple so I do recommend having a look at the body cream range from Antipodes. I wrote a whole review featuring these two gems, so you can read more about how lovely the texture and results are of both of them in this post.
I’m including a couple of haircare favourites as well this month – I mentioned The Ordinary 100% Cold Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil has been perfect for adding some extra conditioning to the ends of my hair. It’s so affordable and the tiniest amount goes a really long way, and I really do notice a difference after using it. I’ve also become a huge fan of the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – it certainly lives up to the hype, although I’m not sure it justifies the price tag. Saying that, if you’re looking to add some volume and texture to your hair on days when it’s looking a bit limp, this is your product.
For makeup, I have been reaching for the same products over and over again this month (I haven’t had time to switch things up with the stress of my dissertation deadline looming!). The NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Alhambra and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara have been on my eyes all month. They work perfectly together for a light bronze eye with lots of lash. I also reviewed the Primark P.S… Bronze Highlight & Glow Kit earlier this month, and in that I mentioned that I had been using this palette every single day that I wore makeup. That has definitely carried out throughout the rest of the month and I know that I’m going to love using it all throughout the summer too! I’ll leave a link to the full review here so you can see more thoughts and swatches.
Just a couple of non-beauty favourites – firstly, I’m so glad I managed to get my hands on this beautiful Anthropologie Geode Rose Quartz Coaster – isn’t it beautiful?! And it makes such a gorgeous blog prop. I’ve also been wearing my new Jewellery Box* rings ever since I received them, and I’m loving the stacked silver rings look for summer!
