I love me a good neutral lip for Spring. I love them so much that I’ve steadily built up a vast collection of different lipsticks which work perfectly for the season – and all year round for that matter. I’ve noticed that there have been a handful that I’ve been reaching for moreso than others, so I’ve rounded them all up in this post to share with you all.
Possibly the most beautiful drugstore neutral lip choice for Spring, the Rimmel London x Kate Boho Nude is a serious favourite. It’s creamy but long-wearing, with a more satin finish and really beautiful peachy undertones. The packaging is rose gold and absolutely gorgeous, it’s lightweight and easy to carry around in your bag for touch-ups. I posted a full review on this formula back when it was first launched last summer which I’ll link here.
If you’re more of a lipgloss girl, the NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu is a beautiful glossy nude lip option. The formula isn’t sticky at all which I love, and the pigmentation is strong and wears well. Of course, it’s very affordable, and it smells like cupcakes which is always a bonus in my eyes!
An affordable deeper, more brown toned nude shade is definitely the Beauty Pie Lipstick in Cowboy Nude. It’s completely matte, not too drying and very pigmented which I love. Of course, as with most matte formulas, you do have to apply this with a good lip balm underneath to keep your lips moisturized and prevent the colour from caking, but the wear time is brilliant.
Going onto the slightly pricier lipsticks, a well loved and long term favourite of mine has to be MAC’s Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick. It’s possibly one of their most iconic shades and for good reason – it’s the perfect combination of brown and pink to give the best your-lips-but-better pout. This is one of those matte formulas that isn’t very drying at all, but beautifully soft and very easy to wear.
Leaving one of my most recent discoveries until last, the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Super Cindy is a stunning peachy nude for the Spring season. It’s another matte formula that is very comfortable on the lips and not too drying. As with all Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, the packaging is luxurious, making the whole experience of wearing such a beautiful shade that much more special. Another total favourite of mine for Spring.
