I have been watching Tanya Burr’s channel for years now, and it’s been amazing to see how far she’s come and the success she is achieving each year. She’s really passionate about beauty and this really comes through in her videos – so it’s no surprise that when her cosmetics line launched four new products, I was first in line to get my hands on them!
I’ve never tried Tanya’s eyeshadow quads before because I had heard mixed reviews. However, when I saw the swatches for the new Tanya Burr Cosmetics My Paradise Eyeshadow Palette on her blog, I just had to see for myself. I’m so glad I did. The colours are absolutely stunning and I couldn’t believe how affordable the shadows were! These are all very rose toned, so if you love you metallic pink golds then this little palette is right up your street. The pigmentation is fairly strong for a drugstore palette, and not patchy from what I see. The packaging is a bit bulkier than some of my other quads but, then again, it’s also lighter so it’s still easy to travel with. I didn’t wear these shadows with a primer and they seemed to wear fine throughout the day. There also wasn’t much fallout. Overall, I think this is a really great affordable holiday palette, and I can see myself using it a lot to create summer looks over the next few months.
I also purchased the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Bear Hug Lipstick. You probably all know how much I love Pink Cocoa from Tanya’s fall collection last year, so when I saw the two new shades, I needed to get at least one! Of course, I opted for the brown toned nude – always a favourite of mine – and this one is no exception. The formula of these lipsticks are some of my favourite from the drugstore, and the packaging itself feels very luxurious and high-end. The products definitely meet the right criteria and fulfill the best of both worlds – a reasonable price matched with a beautiful, high performing formula.
The two products that I picked up have definitely got me wanting the other two launches as well. I’m holding out for the time being, but who knows when I’ll cave?! Soon, I think.
Have you tried anything from Tanya’s new collection?
