My Festive Makeup Menu.

There are so many products that I could have included in today’s post but I wanted to dial it back because I’ve found that that’s what I’ve been tending to do with my makeup recently. Instead of going for the whole shebang, I’ve opted for a smaller handful of products that make the most difference – keeping my skin glowing and radiant with some statement features for the festive season. Here are my top picks that I’ve been loving throughout December:

Of course, I have to mention my trusty Becca Backlight Priming Filter that is honestly the best primer I’ve tried and the ultimate glow-based primer from this year. I’ve been applying that for a radiant base which I brush over with a little of my NARS Sheer Glow in Santa Fe. This is another cult favourite foundation that looks and feels like skin without caking or bunching throughout the day. Paired with the NARS Creamy Concealer in Custard, I find I get the most flawless, yet still natural, looking base which is exactly what I’m looking for most of the time.

My brows don’t really need much work because I’m blessed with very full, arched brows, but I always use a smidgen of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer to add a bit more definition to the places that are needing some shape. This creates a great frame for the 3INA Cream Foiled Eyeshadow* and the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper that I apply afterwards. I usually always go for a slanted wing because it best accentuates my eye shape – and this liner is the best for staying put all night long!

I like a lot of lash (always), so the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is perfect for both everyday and festivities alike. The plastic wand and stiff bristles really help comb the lashes and separate them without compromising volume.

On my cheeks, the Hourglass Ambient Edit Palette Volume III is all I need – it has two beautiful berry blush shades that I swirl together for the perfect flush. I add a little of the strobing powder for a glowing highlight that isn’t too heavy, and the bronzer to warm up my temples and jawline. Finally, if I’m going for the festive option, Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Red Carpet Red is one of the most classic shades there are for this time of year! I have been switching this part up though, and here’s a post of some colours that are a little out-of-the-ordinary that work beautifully with this look too.
