Two thousand and eighteen. Seriously… where on earth did the time go? I can’t believe how quickly the past year has gone by, it feels like a whirlwind and yet so much has happened.
Here my goals for the year ahead:
1. Become more mindful.
I may as well start off with the typical ‘health’ goal, but this year isn’t just about focusing on losing a few pounds or making the right eating choices. Over the past while, I’ve become more and more aware of mental health, and taking care of myself on a more mindful level. This is something I want to carry on in the months to come, so hopefully this year can lead to a stronger, healthier me.
2. Stress less.
This is a little bit ambiguous and there’s no real way to measure this but it needs to be done. With the number of times I’ve moved here and there over the past year, a wedding and a relocation, it’s definitely been stressful and I’ve taken a lot on! I’m back in England again for the start of this year as my husband is on a course for work, but I want to enjoy my time here and not get stressed out by the fact that I’m still moving back and forth.
3. Seek out new opportunities.
There is so much to see and I feel like I really need to seize every opportunity to see as much as I can this year. Whether it’s taking a trip around the city to find quirky little coffee shops or attending different blogger events, I definitely want to make the most of this year and do so.
4. Create more interiors related content.
Although I’m in England right now, and for the next couple of months, I do want to focus on creating lots of interiors content as soon as I get back. There’s lots I want to change around and add to the house, and I’d love to take you all on that journey with me. The decor/styling related posts that I’ve made in the past have been extremely popular, so I’d love to make lots more!
5. Find my photography style.
Like pretty much every blogger I know, I’ve gone through different phases over the past two years, especially with my photography style. I’d really like to find a style that I’m happy with this year, and build a feed I love and that you all enjoy as well. I know that I definitely want to keep things more of a mix, and not focus solely on beauty as such.
What are your goals for the new year?
I’d love to know!
