I feel like we should just take a minute to admire the swoon-worthy packaging of Gucci’s latest fragrance here… I mean, it’s blush pink and very minimal, but still weighty and luxe – everything about it’s appearance is absolutely gorgeous. I was incredibly excited when I heard about this new launch over the festive period, and seeing it all over my Instagram feed was definitely such an enabler!
I’m not usually one who gets sucked into buying a fragrance based on the packaging, I like to stick with what I know and love (usually lots of Jo Malone or Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb), but I decided to take the plunge because I love floral scents and you can’t get more floral than the word ‘bloom’. Gucci is a very popular brand at the moment and I love what I’m seeing the fresh, innovative ideas that the creative director is producing these days. The fragrance itself is a very rich, white flowery scent with tuberose and jasmine being the key notes. It feels very crisp and clean, just like the bottle. This is one of those instances where everything about the launch of this product fits, from the branding, to the packaging to the product… it all works beautifully.
I loved the ad for this fragrance too – the idea behind the perfume was to celebrate the authenticity, diversity and vitality of women. The scent lingers all day without the need for touch up, it’s very feminine and uplifting without being overpoweringly strong. I purchased the travel collection from Duty Free so I also received a travel rollerball which is perfect for my handbag. I know this is definitely going to be my go-to fragrance all throughout the springtime. Have you tried any new fragrances lately?
