May Goals.

May Goals.

April wasn’t a great month for me blog post wise – I was so busy that I barely had time to sit down and write. I have spent the last week coming up with lots of ideas though so I’m hoping that May will be better on that front. I really want to spend one month of the summer uploading content everyday, so I’d love to hear what you might like to see in the comments! Here are my goals for this month:

1. Keep up with a healthier lifestyle.

With summer around the corner, I’ve tried to make a few small changes to my lifestyle recently so that I can feel my best this year. With all the stresses and changes of the past year, I’ve found myself a little heavier than I’d like to be so I’ve started working out and switching to healthier options for a couple of weeks now (it’s never a good feeling when you realise that the clothes that fit you last summer are now a little snug). I’m hoping the changes will be permanent, and I’m happy that I’m on the road to a healthier me.

2. Create a gallery wall.

This has been in the works for a long time but I’m hoping it will finally come together this month! I’ve wanted to create one for a very long time now, and this month I’m getting to work with an amazing brand that offers so many gorgeous prints and art pieces for the perfect gallery wall. Keep an eye out for the post soon – I can’t wait to work on this particular goal!

3. Take photographs in advance.

I think my biggest downfall with regards to my blog last month was the lack of preparation. I had so many ideas but I never felt the motivation to take the photographs that I needed, and when I did, I was never really happy with them. I know I need to work on this over the next few weeks and find my groove again – I guess it can get a little intimidating looking at so many gorgeous photos on Instagram and other blogs, sometimes I can’t help but fall into the trap of comparison and not feeling like what I’m working on is good enough. I think we’ve all found ourselves in that place one time or another.

4. Drive more.

This is an odd goal, but if you’re following me on Twitter, you might have seen that I recently got my first car. It’s the cutest little mint green Fiat, and I love it! However, I’m not completely used to Canadian roads yet, so I’m making it my mission to practice more until I get my confidence back. It’s definitely quite disorientating when you find yourself on the other side of the road after so driving on the right side for so long.

5. Prep my skin for summer.

I was lucky enough to be offered a pro-facial experience* from the lovely ladies at Hand and Stone Spa last month, and it made me remember how much I love facials. They’re such a brilliant way to relax, and my skin was glowing afterwards. I chose the sensitive skin facial that helped boost radiance and treat blemished skin, and I definitely felt that it did just that. I usually suffer from quite a lot of redness and inflammation, and my skin is definitely quite dry, but afterwards I felt like I had a totally new face! I was given a booklet with all my skin concerns and a routine that was specifically tailored to me, so I really want to use May as a month to take on all of the advice I was given and improve my skin so that it looks (and feels) summer ready.
