Spring Makeup Picks.

With all the Spring sunshine, I’ve found myself reaching for brighter, dewier makeup choices so I thought I’d share them all in a post today as my seasonal beauty picks. First up, I’ve been enjoying the Nars Soft Matte Concealer for a little extra coverage over a few breakouts I’ve had lately. The name says matte, which it is, but it doesn’t appear cakey at all – rather, it’s the perfect concealer to pair with a dewy foundation to draw attention away from any blemishes. I’ve been pairing this with a little of the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector to add a little brightness underneath my eyes – it works really well in cancelling out any shadows and generally improving the appearance of that area so that my makeup sits better.

I find that brows look best on the natural side, especially in the summer, so I’ve still been reaching for my trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. It’s such a quick and easy way for me to fill in any sparse areas and comb through my brows (it’s dual ended), so I love having it in my makeup bag for perfectly natural brows everyday. For my eyes, I like the easy route… cream eyeshadow! If the formula is right, it’s the perfect way to easy shadow – and the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Shadow in Emerveille is my absolute favourite. It’s the perfect shimmery champagne pink which is perfect for a subtle daytime look. I love how it’s brightening as well, so it works really well at making my eyes appear larger and the formula doesn’t crease – win, win!

My blusher of choice has been one that I actually was a bit intimidated by at first – the Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Panic. It looks bright in the pan, but it’s honestly very buildable, so you can work up to your preferred blush intensity. I swirl my blusher brush across the two shades for the perfect blend of coral pink and sweep it in an upwards motion to give the illusion of lifted cheeks. It’s such a lovely alternative to my usual mauve blushes, so I’m really glad I gave this a whirl!

Last but not least, my lip combo has been the Topshop Lip Liner in Beestung and Mac’s Brave Lipstick. You might remember I had a bit of an obsession with this lip liner last summer and it’s made an appearance again because it’s just so gorgeous – very creamy, dries down matte and lasts a long time. The colours go so well together and make the perfect Spring nude lip!
