I am always super excited by the Jo Malone counter, and whenever I pass it, I can’t help but stop and admire all the beautiful glass bottles that seem to (very easily) find their way onto my shelf of perfumes! I have a special place for the brand in my heart because I wore the Peony & Blush Suede Scent on my wedding day, so it always brings back memories of last July and how wonderful that day was. The first fragrance I ever owned from the brand was English Pear & Freesia, and to this day, it has to be one of my absolute favourites to wear in the warmer months.
Of course, being back in England meant that I had to take a trip to my local Jo Malone counter and choose a new fragrance, and I went for the Jo Malone English Oak & Redcurrant Cologne. I don’t really own any woody scents – I tend to opt for florals or fruits instead. I was initially drawn to this scent through the fruity notes of red currant, which makes my mouth water when I smell it – it’s quite a warm fragrance with some zest which I love, so I went and purchased the larger size because I imagine I’ll be wearing it a lot this summer!
If you’ve seen my perfume collection on Instagram, you’ll have noticed that I usually go for the smaller sizes because I love to wear so many different scents on rotation and I want all of them to stay as fresh as possible. To add another fragrance into the mix, I opted for the Jo Malone Basil & Neroli Cologne as I feel like this will be perfect for when Autumn rolls around. It’s another zesty one, which smells very clean and fresh – I absolutely love it!
** I’m super excited to announce that I’m also giving away a full size Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Candle on my Instagram page – head on over to this post in order to see how you can enter to be in with a chance of winning it! **
