With the weather being quite erratic, I’ve been trying really hard to incorporate some soothing, gentle skincare products into my routine. My skin is seriously unpredictable (just like the weather right now), and so I’ve found I have to keep up with it a bit – some days it feels flaky, other days it needs some hydrating TLC, and more recently, I’ve even been breaking out with the odd spot or three.
One brand that I’ve found really fits the bill when it comes to soothing skincare is Jurlique. I’ve only recently ventured into trying more from the brand, as up until a couple of months ago, I had only ever tried their face mist. I still 100% stand by that mist as I’ve loved using it all throughout the summer – and I was kindly sent the more recent Deluxe Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense* edition which will see me through the rest of the year! It’s perfect for a little refresh throughout the day, as I even use it over makeup if I want a little extra hydration without ruining my base.
For my actual skincare routine, I’ve been trying out the Jurlique Rose Moisture Mask* for when my complexion is looking dull and dry. It kind of works like the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask, in that it provides really deep hydration and then you just press in the excess after ten minutes. The products itself smells glorious, and it leaves my skin looking dewy and well looked-after.
I’ve also been trialing the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum* as part of my night-time skincare – it’s a very light gel that I like to apply in-between toning and moisturising, just for a little complexion boost. Since I’ve been using it, I’ve noticed a slight improvement in the overall tone of my skin – everything looks a little brighter which is always a good thing! A little goes a long way with this one so I know that this product will definitely last me a while.
On the other hand, I’m nearly at the end of my jar of the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Day Cream*! This product is a total gem, and possibly my new favourite daytime moisturiser. The formula contains a blend of over eighteen botanicals including Japanese Cedar Bud extract, which is supposed to be one of the most skin-smoothing, youthful radiance-enhancing ingredients. I know that my skin has definitely been loving this treat every morning – the only thing I would say is that I’ve gone through it very quickly and it’s definitely not the most affordable of day creams.
If you can’t tell, I’ve really been enjoying my skincare switch up with Jurlique – I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve been able to try such a lovely brand, and that I’ve discovered some true skincare gems that I absolutely adore!
