Although I absolutely love Autumnal days outside, one thing I really look forward to is the fact that the cooler weather gives me every excuse to spend extra time in the shower (or bath if I’m feeling a little extra). In today’s blog post, I wanted to share some of my favourite bathtime beauty essentials that I’ve been reaching for on a daily basis – and all of these are products that I definitely would purchase again. They’ve become absolute staples as part of my shower routine!
Starting off with some really affordable haricare, I adore everything from Kristin Ess Hair. The packaging, the scents, the price point and the products themselves are all such great essentials to have as part of a good haircare routine. I’m particularly smitten with the Kristin Ess The One Signature Shampoo which works with all hair types but is still really gentle and lathers up well. It’s kind of a one-stop-shop when it comes to washing my hair because it doesn’t make my hair feel overly stripped of moisture, so sometimes I don’t even need to follow up with conditioner. My hair always feels incredibly clean and nourished after using this shampoo, so I know I’ll be sticking to it for a while.
When I am following up with a some moisture – especially when I know I’ll be blow-drying my hair – I like to spend a few minutes combing through a little of the Kristin Ess Hair Reconstructive Moisture Mask. This is a great step to follow before lathering up any body scrubs or shower gels because it needs a few minutes to work it’s magic, but once it’s rinsed out, it leaves my locks looking so shiny, healthy and hydrated.
Whilst my hair mask is doing it’s thing, I often use a scoop or two of the Herbivore Coco Rose Body Scrub – aka, the best body scrub in the world. It has just the right amount of grit to slough off the dead skin without feeling scratchy, and the grains are soaked in a gorgeously moisturising oil that leaves my skin feeling so smooth and glowy. This is a must have shower product for me – especially if I’m following up with any hair removal. It helps prevent ingrown hairs and the soft-skin feeling lasts for ages! It’s definitely up there in price but the tub is huge so it lasts a good while.
The last two products that I’m mentioning are very much pamper-day products, but I love them both oh-so-much that I do reach for them quite often. If I have the time to moisturise after showering, I’ve been slathering on the Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Body Souffle because it’s super rich and smells incredible. Honestly, I’m not very fussy when it comes to body moisturisers as long as they’re not sticky and they smell nice. The Laura Mercier ones are very luxe, but the scents are so unique and they’re all divine – I wish I owned them all.
Of course, I had to give an honourable mention to my beloved Diptyque Candles. I have a couple of large ones that I like to burn, and then a gorgeous set of minis that I bought from World Duty Free on my way to Canada. They throw off so much scent whether lit or unlit, so I love having them all around the bathroom to keep things smelling gorgeous. My favourites are definitely Baeis and Feu De Bois, especially this time of year!
