For the beauty lovers… I’ve picked out a few standout gifts that I’ve curated for this year’s beauty gift guide. There were so many to choose from and the selection just keeps getting larger year after year – but I think I’ve found a good mix of favourites that I would love to receive myself!
Firstly I wanted to talk about skincare. I’ve really fallen in love with building a good skincare routine this year and changing things up as my skin needs across different weather. One stand out brand has been Jurlique, a southern Australian skincare brand that create luxurious skincare for all different skin types. I was most impressed by their Nutri-Define Set* from their festive selection this year, because (not only is it the most stunning set I’ve possibly ever seen), it’s such great value for money. The set comes with four gorgeous products and would make such a lovely gift for a mum or wife looking to delay early signs of ageing. The products are gold and come presented in a stunning rose printed box which would be such a treat to open on Christmas morning! For younger skin, I also love the Origins Best of the Best Skincare Collection which features deluxe sizes of the brand’s bestsellers. I’m a huge fan of every single one of the products in this box, and so I know I’ll be keeping this one for myself! The Pixi Tonic Trio* is another fun skincare gift that would be such a colourful gift to receive. It comes with three mini tonics including the iconic Glow Tonic that I absolutely love and use every morning.
Moving onto fragrance – this can be a tricky category to go for if you don’t know the person that well, but I’ve found that the Miller Harris fragrances in Peau Santal* and Powdered Veil* have been two that I always get asked about when wearing them. They seem to be universally popular and they look super gorgeous on a dressing table too. Another perfume brand that is well loved by all is Jo Malone – I’ve been loving their English Oak & Redcurrant Cologne that would make such a wonderful winter fragrance gift.
There are endless options for makeup when it comes to buying Christmas gifts…and the selection out there is growing each year. If you have access to Sephora, I love the Sephora Collection this year – the Cream Lip Collection* would make a particularly lovely gift for someone who loves changing up their lipstick day to day. The set comes with several different staple shades and the formula is raved about across the beauty world! I’m also loving the ASOS x Bobbi Brown Collaboration Box as a good gift option – it comes with lots of mini Bobbi Brown goodies and a full size Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow for £15 – such great value, and you get to try out so many products from one of my favourite beauty brands!
I love featuring at least one eyeshadow palette and one face palette in my beauty gift guide each year but I haven’t really purchased any this year because I’ve been all about good skincare… however if I’m using eyeshadow, I will almost always reach for something from Charlotte Tilbury. The Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette* is my most recent love (this is an excellent one for eyeshadow newbies because it’s all laid out step by step), and the longer eyeshadow palettes from CT are also incredibly beautiful. The one I’ve photographed is the Instant Eye Palette from last year, but Charlotte launched the Stars In Your Eyes palette this year and it looks just as stunning in true Tilbury style. In terms of a universal face palette, I’ve been most impressed by the Dior Backstage Glow Palette because it’s just so flattering on every skin tone! Of course, it’s definitely a bit of an investment but it would make such a special beauty gift for anyone who loves makeup.
I think Benefit also come out with some of the most fun gift ideas each year, and this season it was tins shaped like cakes – super cute, right?! I loved the Cosmetic Cuties Collection* which is a wonderful way to try out three mini best selling products for a really affordable price. It’s very small and dainty too, so it would make the perfect gift to pick up from World Duty Free if you’re travelling over the festive season and need to pick up a present before your flight. Another travel-friendly beauty gift available at World Duty Free is the Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Set*. It comes with four travel size products inside a reusable makeup bag, and would make the perfect pamper gift for someone who loves to relax with a bath on a cold winter evening (and who doesn’t, right?!).
What are your favourite beauty gifts from this season?
