So, I guess my ‘for her’ gift guide wasn’t really my last gift guide this year! I’ve put together one more for good measure… a little inspiration if you’re still on the hunt for some last minute gift ideas.
Who doesn’t love Diptyque?! When in doubt, they’re the perfect place to find a good gift! My most recent splurge was the Diptyque Jasmin candle because I fell in love with it at the World Duty Free Diptyque counter. Another favourite is the Diptyque Figuier room spray which is a lovely gift idea for someone in a university dorm or flat where you might not be able to burn candles. As with all the products that the brand offers, they come presented in a lovely box and look beautiful with any decor scheme. Total love.
Another fragrance-y favourite – my perfume pick of the year has to go to Gucci Bloom EDP which I purchased in January and I’ve been wearing all throughout the seasons. The bottle is stunning as a decor piece on it’s on – what with all it’s millennial pink prettiness, and the scent is perfect for anyone who loves flowers!
A few other beauty gifts recommendations… I have really fallen in love with a good skincare regimen this year and I recently gifted one of my sisters a set with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. She’s thirteen and is really excited to have a few beauty products to enjoy – and I think it’s a great way to encourage taking care of your skin at such a young age. I was recently introduced to Jowae skincare*, a brand that offers a wide variety of skincare products – it would be a great place to start if you’re looking for gentle products that are designed to work together as a routine.
LUSH are always brilliant for festive treats and they have lots of pre-packaged gifts as well as individual bath bombs that are limited edition as Christmas treats. I featured one of their sets in an earlier gift guide, but I also love the Sunnyside bubble bar this time of year because it smells absolutely divine.
For something more personal and unique, I was very kindly sent this custom hair set* from Function of Beauty. The website allows you to select certain hair ‘goals’ that you want from your shampoo and conditioner, along with a scent and colour, and they do the rest for you – a customised duo that’s tailor made to suit the recipient. They also print a name on the bottle, and it comes wrapped in a beautiful green box, making it such a thoughtful gift!
Staying on the topic of hair, I’ve been trying out the Kristin Ess hair straighteners for the past week and I absolutely love them. Not only are they really high-quality, fast-heating styling tool, they’re also incredibly aesthetically pleasing and super worthy of the ‘gram! I’m thinking of investing in the curling wand and blow dryer too, because I’m really impressed with everything I’ve tried from Kristin Ess so far.
I couldn’t have a last minute gift guide without mentioning Anthropologie! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I recently purchased some pieces from the Papetal range, including the side plates, soup bowls and the large serving bowl. All are absolutely stunning and would make really statement, special gifts for any hostess – I can’t wait to use mine this month. I also love my agate bottle opener and the Anthropologie ones are the absolute best – the perfect present for this time of year too!
