Probably one of the biggest *pinch me* moments I’ve had in a while… when this set full of Drunk Elephant cuties landed in my mailbox! The brand hit the Instagram spotlight all throughout 2018, offering fun, colourful, luxury skincare that gave real results and transformed the skincare routine of many (myself included). I’ve mentioned my love for the DE in the past, having used the Glycolic Night Serum on the regular after picking it up in the Sephora VIB sale last year. However, this is The Littles Kit* which includes a variety of products from the range in deluxe travel sizes – in fact, it’s pretty much your entire skin routine in a travel-friendly form.
The set has been put together to keep all skin types in mind, with the goal of brightening and improving skin texture.
I love me a jelly-based cleanser – if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know how much I love the Oskia Renaissance Cleanser and the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. I have backups of both and they’re often in rotation somewhere in my skincare routine. This has a similar texture, but I find that it’s a little more liquid than the other two I’ve mentioned. It leaves my skin feeling clean and not stripped, but when removing makeup, I would start with a different cleanser (probably a more oil-based balm), and then follow up with this one for a double cleanse. It’s a nice product, but if you’re looking for a select few to try out, I’d stick with the serums because they’re the standouts from the lineup!
I love the concept behind day creams and night creams, so it really excites me that Drunk Elephant have introduced matching day/night serums as part of their range! As the name suggests, this one is meant to add elasticity and firmness, as well as add a boost of good old Vitamin C for radiance. It’s refreshing, full of antioxidants and soothing to use on morning skin.
This serum is one I like to keep as part of morning skincare – I like using it in-between C-Firma and the moisturiser for a little extra boost of hydration that will make sure that my skin doesn’t dry out throughout the day. The texture is very light and cooling so it’s definitely a treat to use, but I think this is the product that I’m going to end up finishing first as I find that I need a bit of it.
I already knew I loved this product going in because I have the full size and I use it several times a week as my night serum. It’s wonderful at brightening and sorting out uneven texture/discolouration practically overnight… I’m very keen to try the Baby Facial which is an even more potent version of this serum but I think it’s only available in the US. This serum, along with the Facial Oil, are probably my two favourites from this set.
Another magical, miracle worker! I love using a little of this to help my acne scars and even out textured skin during that time of the month. I love an oil that doesn’t sit on the skin, but sinks right in and adds glow without adding grease. I find that I can even use this in my morning routine and apply makeup over top – because my skin is quite dry, it actually loves all the extra hydration.
It takes me ages to get through eye creams so I know this one is going to last a while! I’ve never been really good at making sure I use an eye cream on the regular, but its a habit I’m definitely trying to change this year. The ingredients in this one seem to match the C-Firma Serum really well, so the formula works to brighten the eye area (much needed). It’s another cooling product which is wonderful to use on puffy under eyes in the morning, and I find that it works a treat when trying to calm down any redness.
Last but not least, you get a travel sized tub of moisturiser. I’ve tried the Lala Retro Cream in the past (which is richer and more hydrating), and I absolutely love that one. This one is lighter, and the formula is enriched with proteins and nutrients to revive the skin. It works its magic on lines and sun-damage, and overtime, is supposed to give a stronger, healthier appearance to skin.
This set is definitely one to try if you’re thinking of investing in the brand but are unsure of which products work for you – there’s such a variety of products from the range which means you get to really try them out before deciding on the ones you want to purchase. I think that all premium skincare brands should offer a kit like this one – it would make finding the right products a lot easier for so many of us who are unsure of what would work for our skin type and texture.
