If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that some of the most exciting launches in the beauty world are ones released by the gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury. Her makeup looks are elegant and gorgeous, without the need for a million steps and tools. I love watching all the tutorials Charlotte uploads on her YouTube channel and seeing how easy it really is to recreate all the magical red-carpet looks she works on. One of the best products from her entire line has got to be the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder – it’s absolutely beautiful and is always in my handbag for touch ups on the go. So of course, when I saw the upcoming launch of an Airbrush Flawless Foundation*, I was all over it.
This foundation claims to offer a full coverage formula without the heavy, almost cakey feeling that many full coverage foundations tend to have. It’s a lightweight, super-charged formula with a blend of four key ingredients that make it so unique. These include Replexium (which helps reduce wrinkles over time), Mosscelltech (for serious hydration), Aircool (to provide an instant fresh feeling upon application) and CT Defence (which helps limit skin exposure to everyday pollutants)… definitely a lot of promises packed into a gorgeous gold-topped bottle!
I’ve been trying out this foundation for about a week now, and it’s definitely one to bring into my routine on a more permanent basis! It definitely offers a very full coverage finish, without the weight, and the longevity is seriously impressive. Although most foundations that offer this much coverage generally tend to be on the matte side, I’d say this formula has a satin-finish – it’s softer and more natural looking, which is something that really works with my dry skin. There are 44 shades available in this new formula so there’s bound to be your perfect shade in the mix – again, something that I really applaud Charlotte for – she’s really thought about everything when it comes to formulating the perfect product.
I was colour matched to shade 5N, a neutral undertone light/medium shade that blends into my skin tone like a dream… I need the tiniest amount for practically full coverage, and it lasts incredibly well throughout the day, even in all the Canadian heat. I don’t think that this foundation is one I would be reaching for everyday, but that’s just a personal choice because I would never opt for full coverage on an everyday basis. However, the Airbrush Flawless Foundation* is certainly going to be my foundation of choice when I want that extra coverage, whether it be an evening look or that time of the month. I would highly recommend having a nosy at the shades and trying out the formula when it launches next week!
